Dr. Scott D Wylie is the owner & operator of Medical Psychology Associates, and his primary areas of expertise are Forensic Psychology, Neuropharmacology & Psychopharmacology, and Psychological & Neuropsychological Assessment. Dr. Wylie lives in Ft. Collins, Colorado with his family and three dogs, and he enjoys playing guitar and drums, as well as most outdoor activities. Dr. Wylie began his training by completing a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Degree in Psychology (1994) from Sonoma State University in California. Shortly after completing his B.A. degree, he moved to the U.K. and in 1995 completed a Master of Science Degree (M.Sc.) in Child Development from the University of London, Institute of Education.
Following this, he returned to the USA and completed his Doctor of Psychology Degree (Psy.D.) Magna Cum Laude in 1999 from Southern California University (Not USC!). Following the completion of his doctorate degree, Dr. Wylie completed two full-time residency training programs at Sonoma State Hospital (Sonoma Developmental Center): his first residency program was focused on Medical & Behavioral Psychology (1 Year), and his second residency focused on Neuropsychology & Assessment (2 Years).
In 2008 Dr. Wylie further advanced his education by completing a Post-Doctoral Master of Science Degree (MSCP) in Clinical Psychopharmacology from Alliant International University in San Francisco, California and is one of the few medically trained licensed psychologists in Colorado and the surrounding area. Dr. Wylie has been a licensed psychologist since 2002, and is currently licensed to practice psychology in Colorado, Wyoming & California.
